Duffy's summer day trip

Duffy actually got to go on a car trip! We all went to Sandpoint for the day to check it out. What a beautiful place. I researched what beaches allowed dogs - Dog Beach - and we loaded Duffy up for the trip. Turns out Dog Beach was closed. So, scratch that part of the plan. We finally found Lakeview Park to walk him in the shade, and at one end it had a boat ramp. We headed for the boat ramp and found a few feet of pebbly beach, but Duffy was not interested one little bit. Too many waves from the boats. Duffy really hates waves!

We ended up eating lunch at Arby's since we couldn't leave Duffy in the car alone. It was too hot and the town was too busy. Then we drove back home to Moscow.

Boise trip

Pictures from our trip to Boise in July 2008. Idaho is a pretty state and I wanted to see more of it. We stayed in a Motel 6 by the airport and it was surprisingly nice. It had been recently remodeled and had indoor corridors. We will definitely stay there again if in Boise. The capital building was closed for renovations, unfortunately, but I was able to see all the neighborhoods, BSU's campus, Julia Davis park, the Boise River and the mall. Boise's climate is so much like Hermiston, where I spent most of my childhood. I love the brown hills!

Such a beautiful place.
